Three Geeks Studio? has a booth at the 2017 Louisiana Steampunk Festival to sell our handcrafted jewelry, Art, Steampunk prop guns, and a poetry book to help raise money for Acadiana Humane Society. The LA Steampunk Festival is part costume play, part Victorian Science fiction, and part street fair. It’s a festival for all ages! Admission is $10 per person per day, or $15 for the weekend. Children under 12 are free. While you don’t need a pass to access the shopping area where Three Geeks Studio will be, it’s a lot of fun for everyone so you might as well get a pass and have fun too! Be sure and look for the red & black Rajun Cajun tent where our volunteers will be raising money for the rescue animals!

Acadiana Humane Society and Three Geeks Studio will have a tent together at the Pumpkin Patch Craft Show to raise money for the rescue animals on Saturday, Oct. 7th from 9am to 5pm & Sunday, Oct. 8th from 12noon to 5pm. Look for the white & purple Purina Rally to Rescue canopy tent. Lots of hand crafted jewelry, a poetry book, hand sewn purses & bags, and other hand made items will be available at our tent. Donations of pet food, pet supplies, and monetary donations for Acadiana Humane Society will also be accepted at our tent. We set up an event page on Facebook where we will post information throughout the weekend.

Acadiana Humane Society volunteers are busy preparing for potential flooding from hurricane Harvey. If you try to call our rescue, we may not answer as we have a lot to do to be sure we can care for all of these animals if our area floods. If it’s important, please leave a clear message or send a text, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We are NOT taking in any new animals at this time. We are maxed out on space for animals, and we are low on funds, food, and supplies! Adoptions and donations have been slow, and emergencies have been frequent since the Louisiana flood last August. More flooding would devastate our small no-kill animal rescue.
