Please join Acadiana Humane Society, Best Friends, and the Petco Foundation in helping keep pets and families together! November 5th through 14th Best Friends has a table set up at the Lafayette Petco to promote Acadiana Humane Society and Petco Foundations Food Bank program. Patty Mehan, Best Friends volunteer, will be available on Saturday, November 13th and Sunday, November 14th to promote the Food Bank. A donation bin is always available at the Lafayette Petco to collect donated dry and canned cat food, dry and canned dog food, and cat litter. However, between November 5th and 14th, all donations of Hill’s Science Diet pet food will be matched pound for pound by Hill’s. The pet food donated and placed into the bin at Petco goes into Acadiana Humane Society’s Food Bank. This pet food is then provided to families suffering from economical stress to help them keep their pets.

- Our Prizes Galore Winter Raffle! We are currently collecting donations of gift certificates for merchandise and/or services, gift baskets, autographed merchandise, and any other items of value for our annual raffle fundraiser for Acadiana Humane Society! There will be two drawings for our raffle. The first drawing was held at Bark in the Park on October 24th. One prize, a Natural Balance Dog Food Gift Basket donated by Petco, was given away at Bark in the Park. Claudia of Shreveport was our lucky winner at Bark in the Park! The remaining prizes will all be given away at the second drawing, which will be held on December 18th at 4PM at Petco. Meanwhile, if you have any items to donate for our Raffle prizes, please contact Sue Rabeaux, Acadiana Humane Society Director at info@acadianahumane.org. Raffle tickets for our Annual Prizes Galore Fundraiser are available now! For a one dollar donation, you will receive one raffle ticket. For a five dollar donation, you will receive six raffle tickets! You may make your donations and pick up your raffle tickets at our adoption events at the Lafayette Petco on Louisiana Ave on Saturdays between Noon and 4PM. Some of the Petco employees may have raffle tickets available during the week. Please ask if you are shopping and want to donate to our cause. All money raised at the Acadiana Humane Society tent at all three events will go to help with vet and pet food bills for our rescue animals!
