Acadiana Humane Society volunteers are busy preparing for potential flooding from hurricane Harvey. If you try to call our rescue, we may not answer as we have a lot to do to be sure we can care for all of these animals if our area floods. If it’s important, please leave a clear message or send a text, and we will get back to you as soon as we can. We are NOT taking in any new animals at this time. We are maxed out on space for animals, and we are low on funds, food, and supplies! Adoptions and donations have been slow, and emergencies have been frequent since the Louisiana flood last August. More flooding would devastate our small no-kill animal rescue. Today, the governor declared a state of emergency for Louisiana. http://ib.adnxs.com/seg?add=1&redir=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.graytvinc.com%2Fdocuments%2FState-of-Emergency-Tropical-Storm-Harvey-104-JBE-2017.pdf
