Many of you know that Acadiana Humane Society, with the help of many voters on Facebook, won a 2012 Toyota Highlander Hybrid for our animal rescue through Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program. This gas efficient vehicle has enabled our rescue to log over 128,000 miles doing animal rescue since we have had it. As of now, our Highlander sits at the Toyota dealer because it needs repair that includes a brand new hybrid battery. They estimate we will need $6,200.00 when it is ready in about two weeks. If anyone would like to help us be able to pay this bill, so that we can pick up our Highlander and continue to do what we do to help the rescue animals of Acadiana, please feel free to donate what you can. We have a Paypal button here on our website. You can also send us a check or money order made out to Acadiana Humane Society to our mailing address at P.O. Drawer C; Sunset, Louisana 70584-0536. Please include a note with your donation if you would like us to use it to repair our Toyota. Thank you!

The 2012 Toyota Highlander Hybrid can hold quite a few crates of rescue animals for transporting, as well as lots of dog and cat food for hungry animals in need!
