We are thrilled to announce that for every bag of dog treats that are purchased throughout June & July from Great Harvest Bread Company of Acadiana, they will be donating $1.00 to Acadiana Humane Society! These dog treats are 100% whole wheat – nothing but the best for man’s best friend!

They also have a fantastic selection of breads and sandwiches made to order for lunches for the 2-legged variety. Be sure to stop by at 854-A Kaliste Saloom Rd. or visit their website. Please tell them you read about them on our website!

On behalf of our four legged fosters, thank you Great Harvest! Please stop by and purchase some for your dogs! Your dog will love them and it will help support our no-kill non-profit animal rescue too! Thank you!

June is Adopt a Cat Month! Please check out our Adopt A Pet Listings to see a current list of our adoptable cats, dogs, rabbits, ferrets and other pets! You can also meet some of our cats daily in the Cat Adoption Center at both of the Lafayette Petco stores. We hold adoption events most Saturdays at one of the Petco Lafayette locations. See below for our summer schedule.

*Note: Dates, times, and locations are subject to change. Please refresh this page or check our Facebook page, our Twitter page, or our Instagram page for the latest updates to our event schedules. Thank you!

*Also, please be aware that while our office may be closed during some days, we will reply to emails and process applications as we can. We are a foster based rescue, so there is no public facility to visit. Our animals can be viewed online on our Facebook page andour Petfinder page. If you are interested in meeting one or more of our pets, please download and fill out our prescreening application and submit it to us via email or fax. Email is actually faster as we are not always in the office to check the fax machine. Once an application is processed, we can make an appointment to meet, or we will arrange to bring the selected pet to our next adoption event. Our animal rescue is 100% volunteer and all of our volunteers have families and jobs outside of the rescue, so it may take a little time to hear back from us. While we try to respond to everything within one business day, we get hundreds of emails and messages daily, and sometimes it is just not possible to reply to every one right away. Email is usually the fastest way to get a response, since replies can be made late at night if need be. We believe it is important to allow our volunteers some free time to spend with their families. Thank you for understanding.

Please watch this blog, our Facebook page, and our Twitter page for changes, updates, and more information on our upcoming events!
