February is Adopt a Rabbit Month! Be sure and check out all the rabbits we have available for adoption, in addition to our cats, dogs, guinea pigs, and ferrets!
The Krewe des Chiens Dog Parade is Saturday, February 11th at 2PM.
We are in need of volunteers to help decorate wagons for the parade, and to walk foster dogs. Please contact Sue at suerabeaux@gmail.com as soon as possible if you would like to volunteer with Acadiana Humane Society in the Dog Parade.
Cupid & Canine Adoption Event at Camp Bow Wow at 114 Eunice Street in Lafayette on Saturday, February 25th 11AM-3PM.
Look for Acadiana Humane Society’s white & purple Rally to Rescue tent where we will have the following:
- Adoptable dogs to meet!
- Bake Sale items for people & pets!
- Fundraiser items for sale!
- Pet Food Drive: Accepting donations of Purina cat & dog food!
Purina One Chicken & Rice
Acadiana Humane Society is in dire need of money to pay our vet bills, as well as supplies to help care for the animals in our shelter and foster homes. Here is a list of some of the things that we are most in need of:
- Purina Naturals, Purina One Chicken & Rice, & Purina Pro Plan dry cat food.
- Marshall’s Ferret Pellets & Treats.
- Rabbit Pellets & Treats.
- Carefresh or Petco brand Small Animal Bedding.
- Any brand Clumping Cat Litter.
- Small & Medium sized Wire Dog Crates & Plastic Kennels.
- Cat, Dog, Rabbit, & Ferret Toys.
- Large Dog Houses.
If you would like to purchase and donate any of these items, and do not wish to leave at one of our drop off locations, please contact us via email at info@acadianahumane.org or suerabeaux@gmail.com to arrange pick up or delivery.
