Due to the threat of Hurricane Gustav, our adoption events at both Petco and Petsmart in Lafayette, LA have been postponed.
We are thrilled to announce that for the month of July and August,
the Great Harvest Bread Company will donate 25% of the sales of
their doggy-licous 100% whole wheat dog treats!
They also have a fantastic selection of breads and sandwiches
made to order for lunches for the 2-legged variety. Be sure to stop

Jake (pictured above with his new daddy) was one of the 5 “Applebee’s” kittens that AHS / Cat Ranch took into foster care in April 2008. Jake was adopted in May by Danny Farquhar, an All Amerian candidate pitcher for the ULL Ragin Cajuns baseball team. We recently learned that Danny was drafted by the MLB pro team Toronto Blue Jays! Congratulations, Danny, and thank you so much for adopting Jake! May he be your good luck charm as you pursue your career as a Major League Baseball pitcher!
