Jade went to the vet on September 26th because we noticed she was acting different from her usual self. When Dr. Angie at Companion Animal Hospital of Lafayette examined her mouth extensive gingivitis and stomatitis was found. Prior to this visit Jade had always had a healthy mouth. Dr. Angie believes that this sudden decline in Jade’s mouth health is due to an upper respitory infection she had earlier in the year, it triggered an autoimunne response in her body. So now Jade is in need of extensive dental work to remove her teeth. Leaving her teeth intact will just continue to trigger her immune system to inflame the tissues in her mouth. Jade only just turned one year old earlier this year, and we want to make sure she gets to have a long and love filled life of comfort.
She’ll need multiple procedures to remove her teeth in stages, as doing all at once would be too hard on her. We’re needing to raise $1,300 to move forward with treatment for this sweet girl. She is having her first dental procedute on November 12, 2025, as we finally have enough money for the deposit on her dental.
