On Friday, November 14th Acadiana Humane Society is holding a silent auction and Marc Gunn concert fundraiser. It will be held at Covenant Community Center at 300 E. Martial Ave. in Lafayette. Doors will open at 6pm for the Acadiana Humane Society silent auction and Three Geeks Studio jewelry sales. Proceeds from the concert ticket sales, and from the silent auction and jewelry sales will go to help the rescue animals of Acadiana Humane Society. At 7pm Marc Gunn will be in concert playing Celtic music, as well as songs from his Irish Drinking Songs for Cat Lovers album. Concert tickets are only $8.00! You can purchase your tickets online at Event Brite.
Marc Gunn is an award-winning rhythm and folk musician inspired by Celtic culture, science fiction, fantasy, and cats. He breathes new life into the autoharp, which continues to surprise musical veterans and fans a like for it’s unique sound and spirited energy. It’s like a satirical jam session between The Clancy Brothers and Weird Al Yankovic. It’s Celtic music, the traditional and the twisted.
During the break time of the concert you will get one last chance to bid on the silent auction items. Before the evening is over, we will announce the winners in the silent auction. One of our volunteers will be at the auction tables to accept payment so winners can pick up their goodies. Payments accepted for the silent auction will be cash, a check made out to Acadiana Humane Society, or credit/debit cards.
