Acadiana Humane Society needs your help. We’ve had rescue animals with several health issues and surgeries recently, and our vet bills are starting to grow where we can’t keep them paid off weekly. We currently have a foster cat being tested and treated for diabetes, as well as some cats with skin and eye issues, and several on antibiotics for illness. We currently owe Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic $284.67 for recent vet care, and we have an appointment later this week for spay/neuters on new intakes, as well as more blood work and treatment for a recently diagnosed diabetic foster cat. We also need to purchase more prescription cat foods for some special needs fosters with urinary or diabetic issues. We also had to take a couple of fosters this past week to Pet Care Animal Hospital for eye issues and illness and have not seen the bill yet. One of the cats will be returning to Pet Care for a recheck on Wednesday. If anyone would like to make payments directly on our vet bills to the vets, you can call Azalea Lakes Vet Clinic at 225-755-3838 or Pet Care Animal Hospital at 337-988-1100 and ask them to apply your credit card payment to the account of Acadiana Humane Society. You can also send a donation to help with our vet bills using the Paypal button on the side of our website. Thank you!
