Todd teamed up with other voice actors to create a 2012 “The Fur Behind the Mic” Calendar to raise money for Acadiana Humane Society! We are participating in Chase Community Giving’s contest and with your help we can win a portion of the $3 million dollars they want to donate to charity! Acadiana Humane Society is in urgent need of cat food! We currently have over 100 cats in foster care that need to be fed. As well as many AHS Pet Food Bank recipients who are asking for cat food to be able to keep their pets. We are almost out of cat food! We have plenty of donated dog food, but people rarely donate cat food. We will take ANY brand of dry and canned cat food, as we can use it for our Pet Food Bank to help low income families keep their pets! We do have our cats on specific diets of Purina One Chicken and Rice dry cat food, Purina Naturals, Purina Cat Chow, and Purina Kitten Chow. But, we have no funds to purchase any cat food! The ANNUAL ACADIANA HUMANE SOCIETY YARD SALE and BAKE SALE is scheduled for Saturday, June 12th from 6AM to 2PM 4919 W. Congress in Lafayette. We are currently looking for donations for our yard sale. If you only have a few items, there is a donation box in the lobby of the Bridge Storage on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette. If you have larger furniture items, we will be accepting them closer to the date of the sale. Please watch our blog for more information. Thank you!

We will have cats, puppies, and a rabbit available for adoption! Rabbit adoption fee is $30.00. Cat adoption fees are $95.00 each. The puppies that are currently available are $150.00 adoption fee each.

For those who can’t have a real cat or dog, we will also have our Plush Pet Adoptions. For a $1.00 or more donation, you can take home one of our adoptable plush pets!

We also have candy stuffed plastic Easter Eggs available for a $0.25 or more donation per egg. For those who just want some candy and no plastic egg, we will have other candies available, also for a donation.

Bake Sale with both human and dog treats! We will have home made dog treats for $1.00 a bag. There will be Carob Chip Dog Cookies, Snickerpoodles, and Cheese Dog Biscuits. We will also have an assortment of cookies and cakes available for human consumption. Cookies are $1.00 a bag. Cakes are $3.00 each for small, and $7.00 each for large.

The Lafayette Petco located at 3215 Louisiana Avenue is currently participating the Spring A Pet. Each year, in celebration of the season of hope and renewal, Petco Foundation launches their Spring A Pet fundraiser to help give pets in need a new beginning.

The Spring A Pet fundraiser focuses on Pet Adoptions.
