We will be at Petco on the following dates this summer:

April 17. May 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29. June 19, and 26. July 10th. August 7, 14, 21, and 28.

The ANNUAL ACADIANA HUMANE SOCIETY YARD SALE and BAKE SALE is scheduled for Saturday, June 12th from 6AM to 2PM 4919 W. Congress in Lafayette. We are currently looking for donations for our yard sale. If you only have a few items, there is a donation box in the lobby of the Bridge Storage on Ambassador Caffery in Lafayette. If you have larger furniture items, we will be accepting them closer to the date of the sale. Please watch our blog for more information. Thank you!

The Lafayette Petco located at 3215 Louisiana Avenue is currently participating the Spring A Pet. Each year, in celebration of the season of hope and renewal, Petco Foundation launches their Spring A Pet fundraiser to help give pets in need a new beginning.

The Spring A Pet fundraiser focuses on Pet Adoptions. Petco stores help raise needed funds to continue the life saving mission of their Charitable Partners in finding forever homes for the ever- growing number of pet orphans. The Lafayette Petco store is sharing these funds with Acadiana Humane Society and Animal Rescue Foundation.

This year’s fundraiser runs from 3/6 – 4/4 and is sponsored by Hill’s Science Diet. Hill’s will be donating $1 per bag of food sold during the fundraiser for a maximum donation of $50,000 benefiting the PETCO Foundation.

A compact, refillable 1.9 oz size hand sanitizer with carabiner clip is the Petco Foundation’s gift with a $20 or more donation (in store only). This convenient sanitizer is perfect for attaching to backpacks, leashes or belts and promotes Petco’s THINK ADOPTION FIRST message.

Your donation in your local Petco store offers orphaned animals seeking a second chance the opportunity to say, “I’m home”. Your donation in the Lafayette, Louisiana Petco store will help both our animal rescue and ARF.

All of our volunteers have regular jobs, so it may be a day or more before you get a response. Email is normally the fasted way to get a response, since it can be answered at any time of the day. Thank you!

What: Furniture, baby items, toys, remote control cars & trucks, exercise bike & equipment, clothes, kitchen items, glassware, ceramic dolls, knick-knacks, collectibles, sporting goods (golf, snow ski’s, etc.), books for all ages, music, movies, electronics, new bath & body products, and much more! Most items gently used and at bargain prices! All clothing is $0.25 each, or fill a bag for $1.00! All of the proceeds goes to the rescue cats, dogs, and other animals of the Acadiana Humane Society to pay vet bills and pet food bills. We are a no-kill non-profit rescue in Sunset, Louisiana.
