With heavy hearts and tears in our eyes, today we said goodbye to Oreo, a sweetheart bundle of black and white fur who graced our lives from August 2008 to January 2009 when he resided with us as one of our fosters. All he ever wanted was a home and a family to call his own, where he could give his love and companionship unconditionally. He was adopted on January 4, 2009, and we truly believed that Oreo had found his furever home.
Unfortunately,for unfathomable reasons, Oreo’s life was shattered when he was literally thrown outside from his supposed “furever home” to fend for himself, as if he was a piece of trash. He had never been outside before, and it just breaks our hearts to imagine the magnitude of his fear and confusion at the way his world changed.
We learned of his ordeal yesterday and Oreo was rescued, but unfortunately, we were too late. He was very sick, malnourished, and worse of all, tested positive for FIV and FeLV. The kindest thing we could do was to release him from his suffering and send him to the Rainbow Bridge.
Oreo, even though you’re at the Rainbow Bridge now, you will forever be in our hearts. Remember and cherish the true, pure and unconditional love we gave to you while you were with us, and let it be the wind beneath your wings…fly,sweet and precious Oreo, fly…
